I’m bit of a nomadic creature, but essentially I consider myself Northern. It’s taken a while to find myself in the creative world of stone carving, but here I am.
Following 9 years in the military as part of the Intelligence Corps, I left in search of a new challenge. This led me to Moulton College where I completed my initial masonry training in my early 30s. A decade on, I am now enrolled at The City & Guilds of London Art School to further develop my skills and marry creative carving and modelling with process driven masonry know-how.
Having a head for heights I’m also rope access abseiler, which has led to working on some of the most historic and prestigious stone buildings in the UK, including York Minister, All Souls College Oxford and Peterborough Cathedral.
The mix of experiences I have gained in both commercial and heritage settings, have given me a breadth of knowledge and a can-do attitude. I work nationwide, gaining inspiration from collaborating on all kinds of projects, with all kinds of people.
